The Casting Network

The Casting Network is an established and respected agency for supporting artists, owned and supervised by Lesley Gogarty (formerly Lesley Reid). Our agency has nothing to do with the organisations CastNet, Shooting People or Talent Circle & Casting Network. If you are an actor/supporting artist, before submitting your details to the agency (online applications only) please ensure you are applying to the correct organisation for your needs!

Our History

As the most experienced crowd casting specialist in the country, Lesley Gogarty has trained and worked in the industry since 1978. The Casting Network was established in 1999 and is respected by producers and professional artists alike, for negotiating the best rates of pay possible in a highly competitive and over-subscribed market.

Services

The Casting Network supplies supporting artists for all media, including film, television, commercials, and photography. We also provide a Casting Director service that utilises our unrivalled experience in the industry. Our talented artists are based throughout the UK, with a particularly strong resource in the London area.

Provision of Location Assistance and Crowd 2nd ADs

On productions that have in excess of 1000 crowd days, the agency can provide a member of staff to perform many of the duties of a Crowd 2nd AD, including the organisation of costume fittings and liaising with the costume and hair & make-up departments. We can also sign artists in the morning when the call exceeds 50 people and, where practicable, sign the crowd off at the end of filming.

Chitless Payment

The Casting Network uses CHITLESS PAYMENT, which means no more long queues signing out, no more hard copy chits. It's all electronic and so easy to use. Our agency is now part of the POP Platform, which greatly increases the speed of processes for availability-checking, provision of Look Books/Suggestions, booking SAs & producing booking sheets.

Casting Director Service

If you need to organise a casting for small, specific roles in film and television productions, channel idents, commercials, photographic or virals, The Casting Network has the experience and the contacts to do this for you. Just give us the brief and leave the rest to us. Fees for this service are by prior arrangement.

Access to Over 10,000 Artists

The Casting Network has access to over 10,000 artists all over the UK, with a particularly strong resource in the London area. Our agency is now part of the POP Platform, which gives us access to a wider range of artists and makes it easier to find the right artist for your production.
