Our Story

Reed in Partnership's mission is to positively transform people and their communities. With our help, individuals, their families, and the places they live can prosper, often under challenging circumstances. Millions of people across the UK have benefited from accessing a Reed in Partnership service and using it to change their lives for the better.

Our Values

Our values are the foundations of our company. They have been consistent for over 25 years and help make our company what it is today. Every decision made and action taken at Reed in Partnership is done so with our three principle values in mind. We are fair, open, and honest; we take ownership; and we work together.

Our History

We were launched in a single office in Hackney in April 1998 as one of the first employment support service providers in the UK. As our performance and expertise grew, we expanded to deliver employment services across the UK. We have also diversified our business across a number of other sectors. Our work in each of these sectors enables us to achieve our mission: to positively transform people and their communities.

Our Background

We are part of the Reed Group, the UK's largest family-owned recruitment company. The Reed Group of companies was founded on 7th May 1960 when Sir Alec Reed, aged 26, opened his first Reed office in Hounslow with just 75. Along with Reed in Partnership and Reed (our recruitment specialists), the Group also contains Reed.co.uk - the UK's leading job board, which attracts more than 150 million visits every year. We effectively work for charity one day a week, with 18% of the Reed Group owned by the Reed Foundation. The Reed Foundation was established in 1985. In 2007, it funded the creation of Big Give. Since then, Big Give has helped to raise over 280 million for more than 16,000 charity projects since 2008.

We have a strong commitment to quality and excellence. We have achieved numerous accreditations and awards, including being re-accredited by the Merlin Standard, rated 'excellent' for our supply chain management.

Building Partnerships

We called our company Reed in Partnership back in 1998 because we knew we couldn't solve all the issues people face by ourselves. We are proud to work with hundreds of organisations to provide high-quality, successful services that help people and their communities to prosper. In 2022, we were re-accredited by the Merlin Standard - again rated 'excellent' for our supply chain management. We are looking for partners who are passionate about working collaboratively to deliver our services and make a difference.
