Our History

Our story began on the second floor of 38 Earl Street in Maidstone, where Elaine Craven opened Earl Street Employment Agency with just one other member of staff. Initially, the company offered temporary and permanent recruitment services for office and industrial positions, with a specialization in driver roles up to HGV Class 3. As the company grew, it decided to focus on industrial and office-based staff and phased out HGV and van driving services. In the early 1990s, the business was renamed Earl Street Employment Consultants Ltd.

Throughout the 1990s, the recruitment industry underwent significant transformations. The advent of the internet and mobile phones revolutionized the job search process, making it more accessible and efficient for job seekers and employers alike. Earl Street kept pace with these changes, launching its first website in 1998 and unveiling a new website and brand refresh in 2023.
