Our Management Team

Orchard Recruitment Solutions was founded by Richard Cade, who has more than 40 years of experience in the construction industry. Richard started the business in a small office in Wakefield, but over the years, he has expanded the company, taking on more employees and moving to bigger offices.

Richard's determination and resilience have been key factors in the growth of the business. During the recession, he worked tirelessly to ensure that the business stayed afloat, and he made the decision to start a freelance white-collar desk, which proved to be a successful move.

Richard has continued to grow the business, recognising the importance of strong financial management in his future expansion plans. He has strengthened his organisation and continues to lead the team at Orchard Recruitment Solutions.

Our History

2007 - Richard Cade sets up Orchard Recruitment Solutions in a small office on Bairstow Square, Wakefield.

2008 - One became two then three. Orchard takes on its first employees and moves to bigger offices on King's Square, Wakefield.

2009 - As the recession takes a grip on the construction industry, Orchard's phone stops ringing.

2010 - Richard pulls out all the stops, working seven-day weeks, to build up the business.

2011 - Due to permanent recruitment freezes throughout the industry, Richard makes the decision to start a freelance white-collar desk.

2012 - Richard's first child is born in the early hours but he is still in the office 7:30 to run payroll and ensure all contractors are paid on time.

2013 - Orchard continues to grow.

2014 - Recognising that strong financial management was key to his future expansion plans, Richard takes steps to strengthen his organisation: Orchard is reborn.

2015 - The business continues to expand, and Richard leads the team at Orchard Recruitment Solutions.
